The sparkling Gulf water, beautiful white beaches, two tennis/pickle ball courts, two swimming pools, and a fantastic children's playground are all less than 500 steps from anywhere within the family-friendly, gated community of Barrier Dunes. Beach Berry is a fabulous, 2 bedroom-2½ bath, end-unit townhome nicely situated in a very tranquil spot overlooking the large pond in the center of the complex. This townhome is especially close to the neighborhood playground and one of the swimming pools. (See the map included with the photos.)
When you come up to the first floor of Beach Berry, you are greeted by a large, open living space with a wonderful bay window that lets in extra light, plenty of comfortable seating, and a large flat screen smart TV, which is connected to cable and supports NETFLIX and Roku. You will love that the living area opens onto a spacious screened-in porch that faces west and offers a soothing, peaceful sound of cascading water from the fountains in the large pond. You will also be delighted to find a large Weber gas grill, along with a table and chairs, for cooking and eating outside. The porch offers the perfect retreat on a hot summer day. You might even catch a rainbow arching over the dancing water.
The living area opens into a great dining area with a large wooden table that seats 6. There is additional seating for 2 at the kitchen bar. The open floor plan allows you to cook while keeping an eye on the activities going on in the main living area – or you can look out the kitchen window and see a lovely distant view of St. Joseph Bay.

The kitchen is nicely stocked with all the typical things you need to prepare family meals while you're on vacation.

You will find newer stainless-steel appliances including a flat top electric stove/oven, built in microwave, dishwasher, and a refrigerator with an ice maker. There are several small appliances, like a blender and a crockpot. And there are enough plates, silverware, and glasses to accommodate everyone.
Also on the first floor is a nice little reading nook with a good selection of books from novels to children's bedtime stories. There is a wonderful twin-sized daybed with a twin trundle bed, which offers additional sleeping space for two guests.
The laundry closet with a full-size washer and dryer is located off the kitchen next to a little breakfast area. This area has a bistro table that makes a great spot for a cup of coffee in the morning or a place to work on your laptop with great Wi-Fi. And there is also a half-bath on the first floor for everyone's convenience.
Upstairs, Beach Berry comfortably sleeps 4 people in two bedrooms. The large master has a queen bed, an oversized chair, dresser, private deck overlooking the pond, a wall-mounted flat screen TV, and a large bathroom with a double sink vanity, a private toilet, a tub and a separate shower. Down the hall, the guest bedroom has two twin beds, a wall-mounted flat screen TV, a private balcony with views of the bay and a view down the street to the children's playground. This bedroom also has a private full bath with a tub/shower combination.
The owner has added numerous touches to make this your home away from home. Furnishings are beach casual with a breezy nautical decor. Stroll to the beach and catch the beauty of the unspoiled white sand beaches, capture a stunning Cape sunset, observe sea birds scooping up their dinner, and maybe even catch a view of dolphins playing near shore. What you will not find here are high-rise hotels, extremely crowded beaches, and commercialism. This is a serene, beautiful place to reconnect with nature, renourish the spirit, enjoy family, make new friends, and create lifetime memories.
At Beach Berry, all guests can feel relaxed and carefree. There are sand toys and beach chairs to take to the beach, floats, boogie boards and beach balls for the swimming pools, rainy day games, and even tennis rackets & pickleball paddles for the nearby courts.
