Baby Blue - Cape San Blas
Week 8 of Renovations: The countertops are in!! Down to the final few details and we'll be ready for guests! This property looks amazing!
Week 7 of Renovations: The decorator is here until April 25 and working her magic! Pictures to come by April 27! Granite countertops being installed on April 29! Then we will clean and finish the final preparations for guests! We are so excited about this fantastic house!
Week 6 of Renovations: The kitchen cabinets are in! They have taken the template for the granite countertops, which should be installed in two weeks. The new vanities are installed in the bathrooms. And they were installing the new windows today! More pictures soon! Baby Blue is coming together!!
Week 5 of Renovations: We are waiting for the kitchen cabinets - which are scheduled to be ready within the next 7 - 10 days! Then we will really see this house come into vision! Since we had several questions about the walk to the beach, we are talking about that today. You walk from the house to the end of the driveway and then turn right to walk between two of the gulf front properties. It is a VERY short walk. A series of three pictures show the distance - best we can with still photos.
The first picture is taken from the end of the driveway looking at the house.
The second photo is taken from the exact same spot at the end of the driveway and shows the walk to the beach path.
And the third photo shows the beach path from the palm tree in the second picture.
Week 4 of Renovations: This week, the crew installed some new fixtures, installed all of the floor molding, and added a new front door. We are now basically waiting for the kitchen cabinets, counter tops, and the new windows. They are scheduled to arrive in early April. Once those are installed, we will finish things up, and then we will get the house in order for our first renters!
Week 3 of Renovations: We saw huge progress this past week! The new floors are absolutely beautiful and the soft gray walls are going to be peaceful and perfect! The new glass shower doors are simple and show off the lovely tile work. And all of the new ceiling fans are just the right addition to be enjoyed by our future guests! Check back soon to see more progress!
Week 2 of Renovations: More demolition occurred in the bedrooms while renovations started in the bathrooms! There is a great new tub with a tile surround in the "Jack & Jill" bathroom. And the Master bathroom has a gorgeous new tiled shower with a bench - which will be really nice!! Also, the dry wall work is complete in the bunk room! We are making great progress! There are a few more pictures included above. Stay tuned as we continue to update!
Week 1 of Renovations: Popcorn ceilings all scraped off and ceilings redone, kitchen totally ripped out, bunk room enlarged and pocket door installed, old non-working fireplace ripped out, old fiberglass tub/shower combos ripped out of both bathrooms, and all old light fixtures removed. What a great first demo (demolition) week!
What happens when a TOTAL renovation meets Old Florida? Watch here over the next couple of months and see!! This property (previously called Starfish) is about to be completely transformed into Baby Blue. The one thing that will remain the same is the screened-in porch that stretches the entire width of the house, which offers plenty of room for everyone to relax, take in the magnificent views, and hear the soothing sounds of the waves on the beach (all while remaining completely bug-free ;) But everything else - will be BRAND NEW!
From the ceilings to the floors, from the kitchen to the bathrooms, fixtures, finishes, and furniture - this is a COMPLETE RENOVATION! All of this is literally within 70 steps to the white sandy beach of Cape San Blas. We will be ready for your summer vacation!! Watch our progress here as we transform this property into the beautiful Baby Blue!
For those asking - There will be a king ensuite bedroom, a Queen bedroom and a bunk room with one bunk bed (that has a twin bed over a double bed) and one additional twin bed. The Queen bedroom and bunk room will share a "Jack and Jill" bathroom.
