Aweigh At Last! - Indian Pass Vacation Rentals

Our Gulf front home on Indian Pass is just what you need if you are looking for a relaxing place to simply unwind. As you stroll along the peaceful beach collecting seashells, watching the dolphins play, or gazing up at a magnificent eagle or osprey flying by, you will not regret getting "Aweigh at Last!"  And, as its name implies, you will find yourself taking a deep breath and letting the stress of the world go with the peace and quiet of getting away from it all.

House Information

As you drive up to the house, the first thing you notice is all of the available covered parking (enough for 3 or 4 cars or boats, depending on the size).  Also on the ground level is a large storage room filled with ample beach equipment, including beach chairs (4), floats, a beach cart, umbrella, beach toys and more - all provided for your convenience. There is an enclosed outdoor shower with hot & cold water, a fish sink & cleaning station, and a charcoal grill. The private boardwalk is completely ramped (with no stairs), making it easy to walk, roll the beach cart, or push a stroller directly to the beach.

On the first level, you are greeted with a beautiful view of the Gulf of Mexico, as well as St. Vincent’s Island. The large sun deck has chaise lounge chairs, which offer a perfect spot for sunbathing. A screened porch spans the entire front of the home and is equipped with rockers, a pub-height dining table, and ceiling fans that make it easy to dine “al Fresco” – or just curl up and read a book or take a nap!

As soon as you go inside, it immediately strikes you – Aweigh At Last! The house is beautifully decorated, as well as bright, open, and welcoming.

The living area has comfortable seating with a 42-inch flat-screen TV & stereo. The dining area has a slate & wood high-top table with seating for six (6).  The kitchen is large and well equipped, boasting granite counter tops, an under-mount sink, stainless steel appliances, both a Kuerig & a regular drip coffee maker, and plenty of cabinets filled with everything you need – dishes, glassware, cookware, bakeware, crock pot, blender, electric hand mixer, and so much more!  Also located on the first level are a half-bath and a utility room with a full-sized stacked washer & dryer.

The top level of the home is equally wonderful! The entire space is tasteful, soothing and calm. Everyone has plenty of room to unpack and settle in. The view from the master suite literally makes you stop and say, “Oh wow!”  There is a very comfortable king-sized bed, a 32-inch flat-screen TV, a ceiling fan, and a private bathroom with a tile floor and a tub/shower combination. The two guest bedrooms have comfortable queen-sized beds, ceiling fans, and also offer incredible views of the Gulf and St. Vincent’s Island. The front guest room has a 32-inch flat-screen TV. These two rooms share a spacious full bathroom with a tub/shower combination and tile floor.

To top it all off, we provide high-quality linens & towels, including four (4) plush, over-sized beach towels; a starter supply of soaps, detergents, paper towels, and toilet paper; WiFi, cable, and free long-distance; and an assortment of books and games. Aweigh At Last! provides pretty much everything you need to come and enjoy our slice of paradise.

Aweigh At Last! - Indian Pass

Area Information

Our neighborhood is extremely quiet and friendly – it’s a great place for families with children, couples on a romantic retreat, friends enjoying a long overdue “girls-only weekend”, or for anyone who just wants to get away from it all!  Aweigh At Last! is the place for you.
Indian Pass is reminiscent of “Old Florida.” There are no tall condos or hotels anywhere! The area is rustic and raw in its natural beauty. Our beaches are wide, gorgeous, and peaceful and, in the off-season, you will rarely encounter anyone as you stroll along!
This area is perfect for the simpler things in life - it’s a place for being outdoors. Lazy days are filled with activities like swimming, sunbathing, shell-seeking, building sand castles & playing on the beach, fishing, kayaking, hiking, riding bikes, and bird/nature watching. Another option is to go horseback riding on the beach - very few places across the country offer this amazing experience. Indian Pass is also a golf cart community, if you want to rent a beach golf cart to easily explore the area. Mainly Indian Pass is a place to relax and just enjoy being together.

If you’re a fisherman, dinner may be right outside your door. You can fish or crab from the shore. Scalloping in nearby St. Joe Bay is also a lot of fun during the summer scallop season. These sweet, tender delicacies can be enjoyed on your vacation or frozen to take home.

If fishing isn’t your thing, the famous Indian Pass Raw Bar is just a couple of miles up the road where you can enjoy the area's delicious oysters, other seafood, and a cold drink. Weekends often feature outdoor live entertainment. The Raw Bar is a local institution and should not be missed!  (Still closed and recovering from Hurricane Michael - but should be reopening soon - better than ever!)

Across from the Raw Bar along County Road 30A is The General Store, where you can stock up on groceries, beer, wine, locally sourced favorites like Tupelo Honey, fishing supplies, bait and tackle, and much more.

Aweigh At Last! is just a couple of miles east from Cape San Blas - which has been rated in the top five best beaches in the United States. Port St. Joe is only 10 miles to the west, where you can stock up on all of the provisions you'll need. If you're not in the mood to cook, there are a number of great, local restaurants and night spots nearby. A golf course is only a few miles away and there are 4 separate boat ramps within 15 miles.

Just 20 minutes to the east is the historic and quaint fishing town of Apalachicola. Here you’ll find great shopping and many wonderful restaurants and night spots. In addition, you can walk along the boardwalk and see what fresh catch the fishing boats have brought in that day.

You can’t help but relax in this beautiful, unique and wonderful place. So we invite you to come and get Aweigh At Last!
